  • Amy Adams’ Chic Cold Weather Style

Amy Adams looks so glamorous and old school Hollywood in a fabulous, cozy looking camel coat and oversized sunglasses.

It’s certainly time to bundle up with the cold weather we’ve been having!  It was 26 degrees in New York this morning.  Here are a few coats similar to Amy’s.  I’d add tights though, unless you happen to have car service at your beck and call as I’m sure Amy does!

Burberry Camel Wraparound Coat, regular $1195, SALE $849.

Smythe Camel Hair Wrap Coat, $835.

Jaeger London Camel Swing Coat, $577.50.

    J. Crew Wool Cashmere Icon Trench, $325.

Gap Wool Blend Funnel Neck Coat, regular $168, SALE $89.99.

  • Jessica does casual, rugged cool

Jessica looks great in her casual look of utility jacket, chambray tunic, leggings and field boots.  Here are some pieces to get the same look!

Jessica’s jacket looks very much like a classic Barbour, although I’m not sure if it is.  Here is the Barbour Waterproof Utility Jacket, $379.  The styling is very close and the color would look lighter out in the sun…

Worn without the belt, this Denim Popover Tunic from the Gap, $59.50, looks very similar to Jessica’s shirt.

Wear the tunic over some leggings with some chunky boots.  A basic pair of leggings like these from C&C California (Full Length Classic Leggings, $48) are a good choice.

These Combat boots from H by Hudson, $297.50 (on sale, down from $425) would work, leave the top laces loose to get more of a slouchy look.

  • Jessica wears the Military Trend out in New York City

Here’s another jacket and jeans pairing similar to yesterday’s with Rachel Bilson.  Obviously this is a very popular go-to look that can be done in so many different ways to keep it interesting!  Jessica Simpson pairs her skinny jeans with one of the “it” jackets for the season – a cropped military jacket, long tee, trendy platform boots, oversized sunglasses and a huge bag.

The key piece in this look is the military jacket.  What a great item to own!  This Juicy Couture Skylar Military Jacket, $298 would be perfect!  This one is black.  I kind of prefer that though.  As with many New Yorkers, black is my favorite color!

Jess has chosen a tee that is long but fairly fitted.  You don’t want a baggy one because that would look stupid coming out from the cropped jacket.  Something like this would probably work well: Delia’s Gia Short Sleeve Tissue Tee, $16.50.

To get more of a contrast between the jacket and the jeans like Jessica has done, go for a medium wash instead of dark.  Gap has a medium wash in their Forever Skinny Jeans, $59.50.

A suede platform boot gets shown off nicely when paired with skinny jeans.  These are Steve Madden’s Chelsey Platform Boots, on sale for $99.19.  (fyi – they also come in blue suede – the color looks almost exactly like what Jessica is wearing above)

Grab a pair of big sunglasses and the most huge bag you have and you’re ready to go out!

  • Hilary Wears Fall’s Trendy Over the Knee Boots

This Fall, over the knee boots are so popular!  Hilary Duff was out and about recently wearing a gorgeous black pair with leggings and a casual sweater.

You can get a similar look with these:  Topshop BARLEY2 Over Knee Leather Boots, $230

If you don’t already have some basic leggings in your wardrobe, then you must get some.  They’re so versatile and perfect for tucking into all sorts of boots.  Here’s a basic and affordable pair from the Gap, Stretch Knit Leggings, $19.50.

Pair with a slouchy sweater like this one from Victoria’s Secret: Silk/Cashmere Boyfriend Sweater, $49.  It’s shown here in a blush tone, but it’s also available in winter white to get a look like Hilary’s.

For the finishing touches, add some statement earrings and a dark trendy nail polish like Revlon’s Steel-her Heart Color 907, $4.79.

Grab a big black tote and you’re all set to go – - out for a chic day of errands, etc.

  • Coco Rocha: stylish at Fashion Week

Coco Rocha looked amazing at NY Fashion Week.  She’s very on-trend with over the knee boots, leggings and a jacket – simple but super stylish!

Who says you can’t walk around town looking like a top model?  You can get a similar look with this Elizabeth and James Blazer, $395.

You probably already have leggings or jeggings, either one could work with this outfit.  I really like Gap’s legging jeans right now.  These, in a true black wash, are only $69.50.

You can easily spend a fortune on boots, but with a style so trendy as the over the knee type, it’s sometimes good to go with a modestly priced version.  That way you don’t feel too bad if you don’t wear them very often.  These are a good option: Franco Sarto Over the Knee Boots, $139

Pair these with a textured black top, coral lipstick (perhaps Korres Lipstick in coral #45) and sleek straight hair you’re ready to go!
